In early 2009, I started work on a new company model for my dance company, the A.O. Movement Collective. This model was comprised of three parts: artistic, business, and community-focused. A.O. PRO(+ductions) is the business-third of the model, and focuses on providing artists with affordable freelance arts management, consulting, and design work.

Caitlin came to us because she had seen the AOMC’s site, and wanted to ask us where we found such great and affordable web design! After meeting with her and hearing what she wanted her website to be, we suggested that she try the PRO Package.

Using her past photos, we came up with a header that matched the energy and boldness of her company’s work, and then made sure that the navagation of the site we were creating for her was clean and simple.

Initally, one of the things that was most important to Caitlin was to have a bio page for each of her dancers with a picture and short bio paragraph, so we suggested that to cut down on cost, she do the dancer bios in a list form. Caitlin also wanted to be able to post new videos and photos as she received them, so we spent some training time teaching her how to embed videos and other media.
