In early 2009, I started work on a new company model for my dance company, the A.O. Movement Collective. This model was comprised of three parts: artistic, business, and community-focused. A.O. PRO(+ductions) is the business-third of the model, and focuses on providing artists with affordable freelance arts management, consulting, and design work.

Mandy came to us looking for some help in organizing and promoting her emerging pilates abd body work business. She was working with a $0 budget (or as close to it as possible), so we worked out a plan to get her the most impact from a small but strategic amount of work.

First we designed her a wordpress blog that she could direct potential clients to with information about her bio, services, and philosophy.

We also made some business cards with all her info, and a 1 page flier that she could leave at studios to attract new clients.

As barter for our work, Mandy traded us 14 sessions with her – we’ve been using them up through the year and she’s GREAT!
